Update on Reservation Rewards

I recently received an Email from Reservation Rewards stating that they search blogs for content about them. They go on to say that I was wrong in my blog. They attached the page that I allegedly agreed to their terms of service on. That was a riot! I will attach it to this blog in the near future, but it has the website name on it in several places leading the consumer to believe they had received a gift card for their next purchase from the website. I think that's false advertising. I mean if you're shopping and you check out and a page pops up stating the website's name and you get a $10.00 gift certificate on your future purchase is a little misleading. The text that is on the page is much less that a 10pt font. You have to look closely or you'll be tricked into agreeing for Reservation Rewards to debit your checking acct, credit card, etc. monthly. The email stated that I had to type my email address twice, but I don't remember doing that. I am almost certain that information transferred with my checkout. The things companies will do to get money is beyond me. What happened to hard earned cash? Business are now getting sneakier and sneakier and this is one to stay clear of.

Here's what Consumer Reports Webwatch has to say:

Scammed by Reservation Rewards on Geeks.com

I was shopping online as usual and paid for my items via an online "virtual cart." It was never a big deal before - until now! I had been scammed! I was looking over my bank account statement and noticed charges for an unknown company. I went to google and did some research! To my amazement there were thousands of consumers like me who were taken by this same company! The statement read WLI Reservation Rewards had debited $10.00 which I had not authorized! Well, if thousands of consumers like myself had been scammed, that was thousands of dollars in this company's hand. Most people are too busy and may overlook an amount so small. I, on the other hand, cannot afford to let hard earned money go to a company that did not earn it rightfully. So, I sent the company an Email and receieved a very quick response! I never included any personal information in the Email, but in the response they were quick to tell me when the transaction occurred, what website I was on, how much they debited from my account and so on. The response email was very quick to push the blame back on me, the consumer.

As a consumer to another consumer I thought you may also be interested in the research I did.
The following website was on google: http://adam.rosikessel.org/weblog/the_man/webloyalty_aka_wli_reservations_is_a_scam.html.
This website informed me that there is a class action lawsuit with this company. The parent company is webloyalty who does a webloyalty program with other online companies. They provide the virtual carts on the websites that we consumers shop on. There have also been many complaints to the Better Business Bureau and letters written to the Attorney General of Consumer Affairs in Connecticut where wli* reservation rewards is located. To read more about this company, please visit: http://home.reservationrewards.com/rrwli.asp.

Together we can stop this fraudulent activity in the future! I wish you & yours a Safe & Happy Holiday Season!
